Peter Carley
PGA Apprentice
Peter Carley, a native of Boston, MA,
has been working at Okeeheelee for
nearly five years in the Junior Golf
Program. He is currently on the Treasure
Coast Senior Tour (the tour is for 48
and older and serves to prepare Pete for
the Champions Tour, his 2-year goal). In
his most recent tournament held at
Mirasol in Palm Beach Gardens, Peter
shot 72-70.
Working with juniors is a great passion
of Peter’s. His love of the game,
teaching ability, and enthusiasm for
young talent is a great combination.
Prior to joining Okeeheelee staff, Peter
was the golf coach at Palm Beach
Atlantic University where he was awarded
Coach of the Year. He then served as
assistant coach for Northwood University
for several years.
Living in Stuart, FL for many years,
Pete served as Assistant Pro at Piper’s
Landing, and as the Superintendent of
the Green Course at Mariner Sands.
He is very happily married to Bernice
Cullen Carley and they have two sons,
Chris and Kevin, both in their teens. |
