Our Mission

The Junior Golf Foundation of America's mission is to provide all children the opportunity to learn and play the game of golf. The JGFA focuses on instilling the concept that golf is "More than a Game." This is accomplished through our comprehensive education and development program. Through golf, our purpose is to teach positive life values to our children, including honor, integrity, self-discipline, pride, respect, responsibility and sportsmanship.

  • Comprehensive year round junior golf program for all ages and abilities
  • Over 65,000 participation since inception
  • Our geographic market includes primarily southeastern Florida with participants visiting from Canada, Poland, Finland, Ireland, Switzerland, South Africa, South America and Germany.
  • Winner of 4 PGA Junior Golf Leadership Awards, 2002 Budget Services Award and the 2006 Sarah Hunter Leadership Award
  • Based at Okeeheelee Golf Course in West Palm Beach, FL, John Prince Golf Learning Center, and Park Ridge Golf Course in Lake Worth, FL.

JGFA Partnership with First Tee of the Palm Beaches

We are proud to be an official partner of the First Tee of the Palm Beaches. We offer a specific program focusing on the First Tee’s Nine Core Values.

Join our First Tee Level 1 (Level 1b) on Saturdays, at 9:15 am. Call (561) 964-4653 to sign up at Okeeheelee. 

Life lessons at John Prince Golf Camp for kids

The many local golfers in our area, will agree that getting started on the game early can be a big advantage. Josh Samuels shows us how this summer local kids are getting special treatment at the John Prince Golf learning center in Lake Worth.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Ryan Alvino, the head golf pro at the John Prince Golf Learning Center in Lake Worth, volunteers to teach golf to sick children at St. Mary's Children's Hospital every Wednesday.

The program is set up through a partnership between the South Florida PGA and the Parent-Child Center. WPTV Video
